Global Rules[/font]
No-Duh
Don’t flame (aka: being a little bitch to everybody). Respect the staff; remember – we can ban you . Don’t double post ever – though staff may double post to inform of an update. No tolerance will be held for double posting in Rps or OOC section. No bumping of your ads in the ad section. Don’t chew with your mouth open. Don’t start plotting or post an Rp post until your character is approved! You may however post all you want in the OOC section. Don’t spam the Cbox. Don’t play moderator when you have no power. If you are confused, lost, and scared – please PM a staff member.
Language
Swear all you want, you mother#@¢&ing $%!^head – because I have played with the “censored words” list, so you can tell what someone is swearing about, without actually being exposed to the language. It’s like PG-13 sex and nudity. A lot is simply implied without actually soiling the eyes of the viewer. Use it as much as is appropriate for your character. It’s allowed OOC, as well. The censor blocks the “big” words – meaning the F, and S word, which look like: #@¢& and $%!^ – with the censor. If the censor hiccups for whatever reason – oops. That’s not your fault, so you will not be held accountable.
Grammar
Simple; no chatspeak. In OOC, faces are allowed, like =D, xD, O.o, ;D, etc… None should be in posts, though. USE SPELLCHECK ALWAYS!!

Characters
You may have up to four characters. But there is a catch. You need at least thirty posts (this number may get higher) before you can make a new character. This means I make “Jane”, then I have 30 posts, so I make “Tom”, now I have to wait until I have 30 posts as him, until I can make “Bruce”. See how it works? Brilliant, I know. Now with those four characters, I don’t want four Vegetarian Vampires. Boooorrrrinnng. Mix it up. Both Gender-wise, and category wise. You can have a vegetarian vampire and a wild one – since they are contrasting. But – the key to this Rp is variety. Have a human female, a male wild vampire, a male werewolf, and a female vegetarian vampire. You don’t have to do that exactly like how I have it…I just like to mix it up.
Applications – Updated 11.28.08
You must have an avatar of what your character looks like. Whether it is a real life person, or a drawn [but NOT anime] character, it will be fine and a non-issue. Please fill out all fields as much as you can – a thorough bio is love. Be sure to follow what the sheet is asking of you exactly – longer and well written is your goal! The following must happen before your character is approved:
•All fields must be filled out to at least the minimum requirements (which is stated on the application).
•Your display name must not be a username, but rather your character’s name. For instance, instead of my name being “admin”, it says “Jasper Hale.” To change you name, click where it says “Bio” at the top with the other buttons [like “home”, “help”, etc…], and then when a screen loads with your account information, click “Modify Profile”, and simply change the field that says “display name.”
•While you’re modifying your profile, please place a 100x100 pixel image of your character in there – ie an avatar. Not the IMAGE of your character in the bio, but the space on your account information page that says “avatar” and there is a blank space. If you are not graphically inclined, you have two options to get an icon for your character. If the famous face your character carries is even slightly popular, I’m sure there’s a livejournal or insanejournal, or one of those, who has about a million different 100x100 sized icons. If your person is a little less known and there aren’t any decent icons, then you can PM me [as in Jazz] and I’ll whip up a 100x100 sized image for you. I will only do this if you have a legitimate reason why you cannot make your own. If you simply cannot afford Photoshop, there’s a bunch of free programs that are pretty good – like GIMP.
•And lastly – and most importantly – if your character is liked and approved by the staff.
Role-Play – Specific[/font]
Sex
Affection can be showed, things can be implied, they can kiss, hug, makeout, and they can strip…but no further. This is when creative fade-in/fade-outs are needed. I don’t want a soft-core porn site. That’s just messed up. The age variety on this site can range from 13+, and I don’t know about you…but a 13 year old and a 30 year old having verbal sex on this site makes me uncomfortable…and I’m 17. If you go overboard, a staff member will send the Voltaire to come and remove you! RAWR!!! Control your hormones, people. ALSO: Not all human girls are going to fall in love with vampires! Come on! LOGIC, PEOPLE!

This is a literate Role Play, meaning you should be a decent Rper. To weed out the one-liners, I have the word minimum of 250 words. I know the word counter on the site counts tags as words [like WOO would be three words]. I understand when a thread is starting to suck and you crank out the bare minimum – so I will not argue if the word counter says 250. Also, you must always post in third person – past tense. No first person (unless it’s a journal), not second person…third person. Not sure the difference?
1st person present: I walk to the door.
1st person past: I walked to the door
2nd person present: You walk to the door.
2nd person past: You walked to the door.
3rd person present: They walk to the door.
3rd person past: They walked to the door, and Rped correctly.
Rp Etiquette
First off – label your Rps. This means that when you have a title, either say “open”, “closed”, or include the peoples’ names that are going to Rp with you in the title. Like “Odds and Ends [Bob&Toni]” or “Odds and Ends [Open!]” or “Odds and Ends [closed]”. See how it works? Also, do not God-Mod. This means controlling characters that are not owned by you, without permission. “Then how do I fight?” Well, it is quite simple. Work out how the fight is going to go via PM. Less exciting? Probably. I just don’t want to see a full on flame-battle between two people over who should’ve won, or something stupid like that. Just be nice. Since it is planned, it doesn’t have to go on-and-on with she did this then he did this…stuff. It can last more then two posts, but epic battles that last an entire thread stop being interesting after page one is done. While you may not God-Mod, you are allowed to control NPCs [Non-Player Characters] as long as all parties in the thread do not mind the direction with which you take the NPC. If you have a complaint of how someone is controlling an NPC, don't be afraid to voice your complaints to that person via PM. Also now that you've read the rules, the password to get into character apps is turnleft just like that. No spaces and no caps.
