Honestly it just cracked me up that Jazz did this format after all of our "official board" junk so I'm going to do it too! I'm your other resident semi-admin. Hmm... You can call me Riley, but if it's easier you can just go with Alice, I don't mind. I'm a 20 year old university student studying to get my BFA [bachelors in fine arts] Woo happy funtimes. Except not really. Classes take a lot of my time and creativity away from rping, but when I graduate I'd ideally like to write and illustrate my own novels so this is.. practice, I suppose. I've been rping since I was 12 years old and I've done it almost every year since. I became a twilight fan over the summer after watching 5AG and hearing them talk about it nonstop. I picked up the first book, read through it, and then ran to the bookstore the next day to get the other two books. I started the second book still at the mall and almost started crying in front of everyone >> Reading it on the way home, I almost got hit by a car (which is a surprisingly common occurrence for me. I'm not the most observant person.) I find Stephenie Meyers to be a fascinating storyteller, mostly because she came up with Twilight the way I come up with most of my own creative works: in dreams. While I do love Twilight to pieces -- I have to say The Host is definitely my favorite book by her. Ideally I'd like to make a board about The Host as well, someday, but there just isn't as big a fanbase for it as there is for Twilight. Honestly I've never had a book grip me the way The Host did. It made me cry a good three or so times when I read it on a 6 hour flight back uni.
As far as this board is concerned, Jazz and I were talking about Twilight and against all logic we decided to make a board. I let Jazz take control over the coding and graphics because...Well take a look at the site, Jazz is damn good at it. We worked together on the plot, even though our resident band geek is trying to give me all the credit =P
Hmm what else about myself... Well currently my spacebar is BROKEN so writing all of this is a huge pain. The key itself isn't broken, I think, just..... I hit it and nothing happens. Awesome right?
Hobbies... I'm a movie whore. Yes I am. It's shameful. I have hundreds of DVDs. If I'm watching a movie or tv show and I recognize a character, I can usually name what they've been in. For example, in an episode of Chuck, there was an extra in the background who played Miss California in Miss Congeniality... And the new Spock in the 2009 movie was in an episode of Charmed.. season 6 I believe... I have a life, I swear, I'm just.. @@ *cough* moving on.
What do I do in my free time? Literally the rping I do here and at our other site Doctor When are the only things I have time to do. I'm on a full academic year this year, and seeing as how I spend 3 hours a day commuting to campus, I spend most of my time at school or doing homework. I do enjoy going out with friends on fridays -- usually to burger places... But this is also to escape my new roommates, who are both under 19 and irritating as hell. Well one of them isn't so bad, but honestly... Roommates. The bane of my existence. Living with the anal retentive one is like living with my mother again -- and that was not a good period of my life. You'll probably hear me complaining about them from time to time. And about my tests. We have lots of tests. Annoying tests. Tests I want to destroy (I don't test well.)
Hobbies? Again, don't really have time for hobbies. Usually I draw other students in class to try to keep myself in practice, but I haven't painted in far too long and it's kind of starting to bug me. Umm.. What else. I speak three languages. I don't speak any of them particularly well, but I studied Japanese for several years while I was in school and am currently studying German which is fascinating but infuriating.
What else... Uh... My life has a habit of exploding with drama, so if I ever disappear suddenly, you can bet that everything in my life took a dramatic turn
Well, anyways. That's some stuff about me.
